Suggest adding quick links to programs and websites

The type that can be grouped and classified, by placing shortcuts in the group, you can quickly open programs or websites

i am not sure if i got the suggestion correct. Maybe you can explain more. Let me write my toughts:
shortcuts to programs and websites can be added. Therefore put the *.lnk or *.url file into the main folder.
You can drag drop url websites into the main folder. This will generate a *.url and download the icon.
Drag Drop a shortcut into main folder not works therefore we have #332

you can create "groups" via folders or you can filter by type in the search e.g. type "*.url" to find all websites. You can add the subdirectories e.g. subdirectory "websites" to the main folder.

there was some idea here to have some extra panel where shortcuts could be placed

But these are very far-reaching changes, a rewriting of the app so to speak. You would have to think about something like that for a long time and be sure that you want to go in that direction

Maybe i did not got your idea ; )
