  • install localstack cli on mac osx (as I have a macbook) and run successfully localstack start -d
  • install awslocal and create sample bucket like in the guide
  • build joystream/node image off master (testing)
  • successfully run ./run-test-scenario.sh content-directory

https://docs.localstack.cloud/user-guide/aws/s3/ contains useful info in particular it is possible to have a single docker image for s3 which might be useful for CI checks (instead of the whole localstack)
