Email notifications linking to core item, not notification

When I get a notification, I'm sent to the notifications page, so this

It's not actually so useful, because what I really want is to see the actual think the notification is about, not go to the list of notifications. Also, as a side note, there is some UX problem here where I'm sent to the page, not to the speficic notification, and hence if the notification I'm looking at in the email is not so recent, it is actually really hard to even find it in the notification page at all.
