Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Current Behavior

I will often leave my playlist playing on Spotube for several hours, and when it ends I might go to a different playlist, start playing an album, etc. However, when I go to the playlists tab, or try to search something, it will either endlessly load or just not show any playlists. The only way I have found that fixes it is to completely close and reopen the app. It seems like Spotube only fetches data from Spotify once after starting up, instead of multiple times an hour or whenever the user navigates to a new page in the app.

Expected Behavior

I would expect Spotube to always show your playlists whenever you navigate to the playlists tab.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the app and start a queue for a few hours
  2. Minimize the app and do something else on your computer during that time
  3. Go back to Spotube once the queue ends, or after a few hours
  4. Navigate to the playlists tab
  5. Watch as your playlists just don't show up
