Is there a function similar to multiple select (⌘+click on Mac) where I can select a rectangular block of text then use home, arrow, etc. to navigate the selection?
For example, say I have n lines where I need to modify the beginning and ending characters. I could use ⌘+click to select the end of the line (or anywhere in the line), use ⌘+right arrow to go to the end, make my modifications, then ⌘+left arrow to go to the beginning and make mods there. I would have to use ⌘+click at least n number of times though. I'd like to use a block select to select the lines and use the keyboard shortcuts to navigate each line concurrently.
Notepad++ allows Ctrl+Alt+left click (on Windows) to select a rectangular selection of text.
