On a top of repo can be displayed both: description and URL of project.

For e.g. I see https://github.com/bitcoinxt/website , but no URL where is it hosted.

I've recently started playing with github-pages, and here is my test repo:
https://github.com/gwpl/ubiquitous-duck
On a top you can see:
"Starting Repo as testing https://pages.github.com/ http://gwpl.github.io/ubiquitous-duck"
As I set :
"Starting Repo as testing https://pages.github.com/" as Description
and
"http://gwpl.github.io/ubiquitous-duck" as URL of project.

Good luck with all your projects and repos!
