Can't compile from source on Mac

I am trying to compile the source code following the instructions page. I managed to make the cmake .. step successful, but the make install keeps failing.

There's a hombrew formulas for conky here, though they haven't been updated for quite some time now.

Created an issue here because I believe building should work by default (without tweaking options), so I'm moving this discussion there.
