Audacious Variables not being Recognized

What happened?

I included this text into my config file under conky.text[[ in order to play around with the audacious variables, however the resulting display just reads:
${audacious_bar 5,10}
${audacious_status}

I've tried to look online to see if I'm missing something but everything seems to be outdated info.
