Both project are lightweight multi users federated blog platform.

Technically speaking, Plume seems to be more strategic for us.

Plume

https://git.joinplu.me/Plume/Plume

  • Federated
  • PostgreSQL
  • LDAP
  • Compiled language (Rust)
  • chat is on Matrix

But, on the website main page we can read this:

Project status

Currently, Plume developers have less time and Plume is not actively maintained. New features may take time to be implemented. Could you consider similar purpose software: WriteFreely, WordPress with ActivityPub plugin and so on?

But there still is a lot of recent releases activities...

WriteFreely

https://github.com/writefreely/writefreely

  • Federated
  • MariaDb or sqLite
  • Oauth
  • Compiled language (Go)

WriteFreely does not seems to be a good idea as a multi user instance on the server but a good consideration as a stand alone blog tool that any user can install by itself.
