This is an LoCS term. So is 'content audit'. Both are so fundamental to UX content practices that they arguably need included. However, I propose that we use a single glossary entry, 'content analysis', which comprises both aspects -- inventory and audit -- and address the full scope of in a single definition. 'Content inventory' and 'content audit' then become synonymous terms in the glossary index that redirect to the primary analysis definition.

Open for discussion.

The revision history in that document shows @vinishgarg started the file, which I fiddled with later, but I don't know if anyone else contributed originally at a different location.
