After playing multiple times, game graphics dissapear #77

Hello!
I forked this and was playing it, and I noticed that after I died and restarted like 5-10 times, the game graphics would completely disappear (besides the backdrop) even the score is missing. The only fix is to refresh the page, which while trivial, can be annoying and I am sure there is some fix.
