@gauntface Am I correct in thinking that with GCM going away in a month, older browsers that generate https://android.googleapis.com/gcm/send/ tokens will no longer function correctly at all with web push, making https://web-push-book.gauntface.com/chapter-06/01-non-standards-browsers/#what-is-gcm_sender_id even less relevant?

https://developers.google.com/cloud-messaging/faq seems to imply that when it says

How will this affect Web APIs (Webpush protocol and chrome.gcm API)?

For Webpush protocol, start using Voluntary Application Identification when subscribing to PushManager.
