Have you searched existing Github issues to see if someone has already requested this feature?
Yes
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I would like the ability to quote a selection, instead of substituting it. Having a shortcut for code blocks and words would be great too.
Describe the solution you'd like
If I select a word and press the backtick (`) or any other quote, I would expect said selection to be wrapped in backticks, not to be replaced.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Currently you have to manually go to the beginning and end of the selection and insert them manually.
Additional context
Most modern IDEs support this, so it's fairly counter-intuitive not having it.
Notion and GitHub use Ctrl + E for this purpose. I feel that's a good shortcut.
