there is a nice feature to ffmpeg that captures a wavform into a bitmap (or png..)
it can be put as a background to the timeline on the top left corner.

Hi @eladkarako,
Thanks for the tip, it's an idea I had already had, but then there were other priorities to be resolved. Anyway I'll do some tests.
