Describe the bug

With Hide Markdown Syntax enabled, checkbox items still switch to - [ ] when the cursor is adjacent, which causes jank.
I love the Hide Markdown Syntax mode, by the way.

Unfortunately this is not something that can be fixed without underlying changes to Obsidian because Obsidian hides the checkbox when selecting text.
