Update fails with "Could not get code signature for running application"

Update fails with mysterious message about "code signature."

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch app
2. Check for updates
3. Confirm the panel that says there's an update available, by clicking on the checkmark in the circle (really?).

Expected behavior:
It updates.

Actual behavior:
The error message above.

Versions

• MarkText version: 0.16.3
• Operating system: Mac OS 13.4.1

I'm not sure if it will help, but one of the suggested workarounds in #2983 seems to be working for some folks.
