I'm surprised that no one has pointed this out already: MPV as a player is very poor if you care about gapless playback and have your files encoded with as MP4 (AAC), the best Mac-based compressed format. iTunes can handle these files gaplessly just fine; MPV inserts a huge gap between "tracks". It would be great if we could have a different player. — If the web player is updated to perform better with gapless playback, maybe it could somehow work as the jukebox player too...?
