Node.js/React app previously running is now broken

Our app at https://algorithms-in-action.github.io/ built with npm install etc vanished some some days ago (not sure exactly when) and was replaced with the Readme.md of the repository. Wondering what may have caused this (there have been no recent commits to the dev branch, which triggers the actions), if others have experienced the same and what can be done to fix it? I've also been playing with a copy under my personal account (rather than our organisation) with the same result, despite an apparently clean install according to the log.

Subsequently I received an email about a separate copy of the system concerning a vulnerability in npm (CVE-2023-42282, GHSA-78xj-cgh5-2h22, https://cosmosofcyberspace.github.io/npm_ip_cve/npm_ip_cve.html. I wonder if that could have prompted github to disable the pages? Since there is no response in this forum I'll e-mail support and see if I can get help there.
