I am currently developing a web app using Astro and the GitHub REST API. I have been mainly using "@octokit/request" and for the last few days everything worked with no issues.
Today as I was developing on my local environment suddenly I started getting hit with the same error code 500 for all API calls:
RequestError [HttpError]: Connect Timeout Error.
{ status: 500, request: { method: 'GET', url: 'https://api.github.com/rate_limit', headers: { accept: 'application/vnd.github.v3+json', 'user-agent': 'octokit-request.js/0.0.0-development Node.js/18.17.1 (win32; x64)', authorization: 'token [REDACTED]' } }, response: undefined }
Using regular fetch results in the same error. However I noticed that my Vercel deployed environment continued working as normal through this time. I was wondering if this could be a rate-limit thing as I made a mistake during development and repeated an API call multiple times.
Last time I checked I still had 3500 requests left for the hour so I thought that wasn't it (now I can't even make the rate-limit API call to check though).
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!
