I've had DHT peer discovery enabled on qBittorrent since I can remember because I assumed that it would be ideal for public tracker content (I no longer utilize public trackers as much nowadays), but recently I overheard someone say that it causes private tracker upload traffic to bleed away and ratio to become skewed due to the presence of other public peers. If the aforementioned statement is true, how does this occur if in most private trackers there's specific rules against reuploading/distributing torrent files?
