@Sin-Shadow-Fox Ya, I'm a nuisance "user" & a troll alright! /s A "user" can't modify/close other user's posts.........only "Team Members" of the Project.
Well you've already ignored my instructions! You failed to read below step:
That's why you are getting 'qbittorrent' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. You are running the command from |

BTW - You could have also just re-opened your post or commented there (it was not locked) |

A: I followed the instructions exactly. i navigated to the folder that qBittorrent is installed in and it didn't make a difference. Also that instruction is for command prompt not windows explorer. B: Yeah no, you have to be a collaborator to re-open an issue. normal users cannot re-open issues. |

Your screenshot above says otherwise...
Had you read the instructions from the other post, you'd know it was to be done via Tell me.....does Windows 7 support Dark Mode?? Why don't you change the theme? |

User is not a collaborator but was able to re-open their issue: |

See? I did navigate there.
I read the instructions and followed them.
How much clearer do i have to make it? Normal users cannot re-open issues. If YOU had read the link i posted, you'd see that. All the issues you've been closing? People can't re-open them, that's why you come across as a "troll"/"nuisance". |

That user closed his own issue... i always wondered if users can re-open their own issues that we close, now i know they can't. /off-topic |

I close them as I am a team member/collaborator & yes I now can see that's why people can't re-open them but can if they close them themselves. Users opening up numerous tickets which are duplicates etc. of an open ticket get closed - simple as, as it only clogs up our ticket system. You clearly did not read #17081 (comment) The navigation & issuing of commands all are to be done via command prompt & not via explorer. |

*shrug* I like it. It looks nice.
Users wouldn't need to create duplicates if you would just stop closing other peoples issues, as you see now they can't re-open them or even explain that your reason for closing them is wrong. They'll close them themselves when/if they find a resolution.
I did navigate to the installation location, i did do the command in command prompt and as i showed in my last comment i did read the comment. |

You are running the command from Your 1st post screenshot from #20561 (comment) shows & I already pointed out that in #20561 (comment) |

And I'm not the only one that's convinced as other users have not only seen it but have also used it (including xavier, one of your members). What is absurd here is that this seems to bother you so much. Why is it that you and the other members of qBittorrent project are so offended that we're trying to fix an issue, an issue that only exists btw because the developers of qBittorrent have deemed every other OS other than "Microsoft Windows 10/11" unworthy of any version of qBittorrent above 4.5.5.
Do NOT threaten me. I do NOT tolerate bullies or threats and i WILL report you for harassment to both the repository owner and github administration if you continue with this aggressive behavior or attempt to sabotage this issue in any way. |

More so any 4.6.0- versions of qB (including 4.5.5) but yes. And thank you for your suggestion. I appreciate your contribution and hope as well that a another user will be able to find a further way as well. |

I don't think that @xavier2k6 will verify that. |

He already has, and in this very issue as well (he even posted screenshots of it too). ^_^ |

I did not verify Windows 7 as having a dark mode option.
With the changing of any of the 3 OS themes from #20577 (comment) allows qBittorrent to follow suit & change it's color theme/scheme to what users would generally call "dark mode" Qt (our dependency) is able to detect a color pallette/scheme change when this theme change occurs & thus changes qBittorrent accordingly. There is no special command/independent switch that I know of that will change this on Windows 7. So as previously stated you can use a 3rd party theme, change OS theme or migrate to newer OS.
Wrong, We've had to drop Windows less than 10 due to our dependencies dropping their support (Qt 6, Boost 1.84+) & these OS's are now also EOL. I note from the screenshot in #20577 (comment) that you are using firefox/steam Firefox users on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 moving to Extended Support Release |

Nobody said you did. But you did verify that qBittorrent's old darkmode does exist, and showed it. Too late to backpedal now.
There's the magic words. While you may mot know of any special command/independent switch capable of this, the community might. This would not be the first time someone knew more about a program than the person who made it. There are plenty of examples of a teck savvy person or "power user" figuring out how to do something or manipulate a program in a way that the devs themselves could not.
I already know this is not true. Not only because i know that win7 can handle anything that win10 can and better (I've tested it) but also because i know why there is a push by Microsoft to make win7 seem "obsolete" even though it operates better than win10 in every way. Oh btw that little "gotcha" with firefox and steam? Yeah we've already found a way around steam shutting down support for win7 systems and surprise surprise, there is no issue. As for firefox ESR, people are currently working on a way to trick firefox into recognizing win7 systems as win10 systems so that won't be an issue soon either. |

Way off topic: Since when is the word "Please" considered to be as a threat?!? Since NEVER. According to Merrian Webster (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/please) the way it is used here - "used as a function word to express politeness or emphasis in a request". This (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU4_ufWgP9Y) reminded me of the response. LMAO. |

What on earth are you talking about? To answer your questions, yes i have plenty to do and yes i go out. And no, no one "beats me up".
That's a threat. That is an explicit threat. Saying please before hand doesn't change that. |

I don't write people off as trolls simply because they make a strange comment. If they have a genuine question then I'm going to answer them. If they start becoming argumentative and rejecting logical arguments, THEN I'll label them a troll. And just so you know I've reported you as you have repeatedly been disrespectful, ignored my request to not interfere with my issue and your conduct has officially violated GitHub's Community Guidelines.

qBittorrent & operating system versions
qBittorrent: 4.5.5 x64
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) x64
What is the problem?
The only way to enable dark mode that I've read so far is a rather clunky workaround that doesn't work. I've also noticed a user (xavier2k6) going around closing requests and bug reports for this claiming their duplicates of an unrelated ticket that doesn't work for most users. There does not seem to be a target field tab in the executable file
and command prompt does not recognize the commands recommended stating that it's not a command (not sure what that means)
P.S. Sorry for the repost but xavier struck again. This time he closed my post incorrectly stating that dark mode isn't available but he confused the new dark mode with the old dark mode.
