PlayX is a media player for Garry's Mod that can play YouTube videos and more.
Just download this addon by clicking on Download ZIP and extract the addon in Steam\SteamApps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons\ as usual.
For now to this addon to work you need to use the x86-64 branch.
For Twitch Streams/VODs, Mature content may not work, for some providers you will need CEF Codec Fix.
There is a bug in Garry's Mod/Awesomium itself that prevents our PlayX (and not only PlayX) to open media randomly, this bug was already reported to Facepunch but no luck with that until now.
PlayX is now available via the Steam Workshop! Go to its Workshop page and press Subscribe, and it will automatically appear in Garry's Mod.
Simply clone this repository into your addons folder:

PlayX uses Youtube API to play and search videos, by using PlayX to play youtube videos you agree with Youtube Terms and Google Privacy Policy
