Retry Stream Proxy

Motivation

When working with streams in uncertain network conditions (like the internet), we may need to be able to retry reading data from upstreams server.

Usage

Proxy = require 'retry-stream-proxy'

createOriginStream = ->
    ...
    openMyOriginStreamSomehow()

proxy = new Proxy createOriginStream # provide function that opens origin
out = getOutputWritestream()
proxy.pipe out

Options

new Proxy(origFunction, opts)

  • max Max number of retries. Defaults to 5.
  • delay Delay between retries. Defaults to 0.
